Wilfred Stephen Anfield is a public health strategist, writer, and caregiver powered by joy, based in Washington, D.C. Born in South Carolina and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, he holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Anfield works on health equity, digital inclusion, accessibility, participatory design, and the social, digital, and commercial determinants of health. He serves as court-appointed guardian, conservator, and caregiver for his Mom, lived experience that shapes how he approaches trust, accountability, and dignity in systems of care. After nearly two decades in digital communications, he returned to the things that raised him.
