threadlore
I am a museum professional by day and a needlewoman by night. I enjoy petitpoint, embroidery and quilting. I have always been attracted to the fine details of needlework executed by hand. When I ply my needle, I feel a connection to the many generations of women (and men) who over the centuries have created beautiful handiwork. With the introduction of machines, fewer women are doing needlework by hand. I wish to be among those who continue to ply their needle by hand, keeping the art of needlework alive. This blog is meant to document and share my progress as I strive to create my own threadlore.
