In the past five years I have re-invented myself professionally and personally. After being a professor for 20 years, I became newly certified in two methods for working with kids with autism: ABA and DIR/Floortime. I am now a DIR/Floortimer in a public school and a private consultant, spending my days playing with and teaching others how to play with children on the spectrum for their emotional and cognitive growth. Recently I learned that I love creating: Cards, wall hangings, pillows and more. I am always trying something new. In this blog, I will explore my endeavors and consider what it is I love about creating things.
