Richard Ceffalio Jr.

Community Leader
He/Him · Arlington Heights, Illinois, United States

Richard Ceffalio Jr. is a Chicago-area community leader whose life has long reflected a commitment to faith, family, and service. Raised in a close-knit Italian-American household, he developed an early appreciation for tradition, loyalty, and generosity toward others. Those values continued to shape his outlook through his years at Notre Dame High School in Niles and later at DePaul University, where he expanded his perspective and strengthened the discipline and curiosity that continue to guide him today. Known to friends and colleagues as someone who values consistency and personal connection, Richard has maintained a modest public presence while remaining deeply involved in his community. His leadership and service earned recognition from Dreams for Kids, the Chicago nonprofit that presented him with the Outstanding Achievement in Leadership award. The recognition reflected his longstanding belief in helping others through meaningful action, especially within organizations focused on opportunity, support, and inclusion. Throughout the years, Rich Ceffalio has supported a range of charitable and civic organizations, including Elevate Life Church, Toys for Tots, and the National Kidney Foundation. He also served on the boards of the National Kidney Foundation and the Columbian Club of Chicago, contributing to health advocacy and cultural initiatives tied to his hometown. In 2023, he participated in a food pantry effort that assisted local families facing financial strain, an experience he described as especially meaningful because of the direct human connection involved. Family remains central to his life. Rich lives in Illinois with his wife, Nicole, and their three children, and places strong importance on shared traditions, celebrations, and time together outdoors. Whether gathering for birthdays, graduations, or sporting events, he values creating an environment rooted in faith, support, and togetherness. Outside of family life, he enjoys endurance sports and outdoor recreation, including marathons, Ironman competitions, boating, fishing, pickleball, and traveling with his family to Long Beach. An active lifestyle and dedication to personal growth continue to shape the way he approaches both community involvement and everyday life. Richard Ceffalio Jr. completed three marathons in 2024, reflecting the same persistence and discipline that define many of his personal and charitable efforts. Time on the water, long drives, and outdoor activities provide balance and perspective, while his commitment to service remains rooted in the values he learned growing up. He continues to be guided by faith, family, and a strong sense of responsibility to others.
