I have a "real" job to pay the bills, but I try to squeeze writing in whenever I can. My goal is to make it more of a priority and less of what I do when I can find the time. Thank goodness my friends and family are understanding about my goals, and let's be honest, quirks. They've learned to recognize that look in my eye when I suddenly become mesmerized by a pair of boots worn by a stranger, or the look of an abandoned warehouse. It's not unusual to see me in a restaurant or other public place jotting notes in my ever-present notebook because I heard an interesting conversation or saw something that inspired an idea.
