Professor Emeritus at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine (1982-2022), where I was a biomedical science researcher and medical school and undergraduate biology educator. I still am a part-time golfer. My diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, combined with my career in science and education, allows me the ultimate "teachable moment."
