Bernadette Borders

I earned my Bachelor of Music Education degree at the University of Iowa. I’ve been an orchestra teacher at the Concord/Carlisle School District in Massachusetts and at the Lovett School in Georgia. I am currently teaching middle school orchestra at a Title 1 school for the Clark County School District in North Las Vegas, Nevada. I hope to use the knowledge I gain through this program to assist my colleagues and make my classes more exciting and interesting for my students. My primary instrument is the viola and every year I volunteer my time and talent to a summer theater production to benefit the Seastrand Helping Hands Foundation, which assists seniors with medical expenses and transportation. My son and daughter also play instruments. Joshua plays the violin and Rachel plays the cello. Rachel will be in 8th grade next year and Joshua will be in 6th grade.
