Born and raised just outside of New York City, Barbara came westward at age 17 and never looked back. A Stanford University graduate and veteran of several hundred Grateful Dead shows, she has charted a unique life-work path, gaining professional experience in fields ranging from animal welfare to youth development to artificial intelligence and roles as diverse as children's book author, technical editor, business process analyst, chemical dependency counselor, fitness coach, and entrepreneurship instructor.
