Originally from a small steel-town outside of Pittsburgh, PA, I've made SW Florida my home for 29+ years and have loved it all. I'm an artist in my soul though my right-brain battles it for seniority at times .. ~Love drawing, Painting, and Mixed media in the visual arts ~Photography {and digitally working photos on the computer}. My background photo, taken in Venice, FL at sunset by my step-dad Larry Fair, called "Between the Sea Oats". I stopped when we were walking along the beach path- without camera- and asked him to take a few shots for me on his iPhone. I didn't expect much, but then edited them on my computer and copyrighted - enjoyed the result! ~Cooking creatively, making my own recipes {I make my own vinaigrettes from fresh ingredients and sweet fruit wines, usually Florida fruit wines & Florida citrus}. Also learned that drinking wine can be a hobby, is healthy... how cool! ~Computers and technology... this is where my right brain intercedes. I can't program or build a computer, but I'm very good at operating one and learning the software to work them. ~Marketing and Social Media... I'm a people-person and I'm passionate about what I'm doing. So if I believe in something - watch out. My computer skills help me out here too! ~This doesn't belong at the bottom of the list, but at the top ~ FAMILY! I LOVE MY FAMILY - all of them. But at the top of the list has got to be my four fabulous grandchildren {thanks Paul & Kelly}. I'm very interested in positive & CREATIVE ways to 'Keep the Arts Alive' and active for our Youth. That they never be without the Resources, Tools and People to encourage & nourish their creative selves and souls - to NEVER be stifled. It's another reason I've used the name 'Arts In Motion' ... but that part will come later as I develop my thoughts and ideas. . . and I do have some to present to you in this arena. . . and just MAYBE 2016 is THE YEAR! For now, let's have fun. I've had so much stored inside for a long time - who knows what I'll be throwing around!
