At Georgia Gwinnett College, we are students studying the history and literature of 16th and 17th century pirates. We already know much about the men of piracy, but it’s the women that truly fascinate us. Our focus is to examine famous female pirates throughout history and throughout the media. We like to consider ourselves three sisters of the sea. Jaclyn, also known as "Yellow Sea", is a big fan of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean and she loves reading fictional epics such as A Game of Thrones. Anna or "Mistress Anne" also enjoys a good pirate story like Pirates of the Caribbean as well. She also has a love for history.Jennifer or "Gigi the Annihilator" is a female rights activist who also has a passion for fashion. And together we are Fearless!
